Acknowledgements

There are oh so many people that have gotten
to where I am now and who deserve to be
mentioned, but I won’t be able to mention
everyone; please forgive me.
To my parents, for making me the man I am
learning to love more and hate less – for giving
me all they could even when they went without
so I would never have to.
To Leonie, first for saving my life and not
knowing it so many times, and secondly for
tolerating me. I love you.
To Tori, whom a lot of the poetry was written in
the era of her in my life, thank you for teaching
me so much I didn’t know I needed to learn.
To my famship, my circle of friends who are
family to me, thank you for always being there
and lifting me up from my lowest and
celebrating my highs together.
Lastly, to me, for being my biggest hater and
mightiest supporter – for always, at minimum,
trying.
